Welcome to Sacred Heart Parish!
We are a community of faith rooted deeply in Scripture and Tradition, and reaching higher in worship and service. Our history is deep in Spring Grove, more than a century of caring and serving God and our neighbors. We eagerly look for ways to assist everyone in developing a closer relationship with our Lord and building friendships within our communities. Everything posted at this website is available to visitors, members and friends.
If there is anything we can do to help you, your family and friends to grow spiritually, please contact us and let us know.
May God bless you richly,
Father Paul CB Schenck

Spiritual Pilgrimage
Saturday, September 7 - Thursday, September 19, 2013
After a long and difficult struggle to obtain greater justice for the weakest members of our human community – the preborn, their mothers and fathers (especially the poor) – and those whose lives are increasingly devalued –
we all are in need of a fresh visitation of the Holy Spirit
and a renewal in body and soul.
For this reason, I would like you to prayerfully consider joining me
and my family on a spiritual pilgrimage to the wondrous shrines of Lourdes, Fatima and Holy Family (Sagrada Famiglia). We will visit Santarem, Paris, Lisieux, Lourdes and Barcelona, Spain.

Our Mission
Our Mission as the people of Sacred Heart Parish of Spring Grove, Pennsylvania and the Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg, is to worship and serve our Lord, Jesus Christ. United in one baptism and one faith, we venerate His name by:
- gathering together to celebrate His presence in word and sacrament
- renewing our faith daily in a personal act of conversion and desire for His love
- loving our neighbor and reaching out to our brothers and sisters, especially those in need
- being disciples of His teachings and conveyors of the Gospel in the Catholic tradition
- furthering His ministry through evangelization and ecumenical cooperation
We the people of Sacred Heart Parish, strengthened and counseled by the power and wisdom of the Holy Spirit, are committed to the responsible stewardship of our resources and the giving of ourselves for the better glory and honor of God.
