The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men's fraternal organization. This society was formed over 100 years ago to render aid to members and their families and to assist the sick, disabled and needy.
The Knights of Columbus also provide social and intellectual fellowship for the members and their families. The fellowship is developed by the members’ participation in educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public charity projects.
There are thousands of local "Councils" of the Knights of Columbus established across communities in the United States and Canada.
Starting in January of 2007 work began at the Sacred Heart parish in Spring Grove, PA. to establish our own local council. After 6 months of informational meetings, recruitment meetings and organizing meetings the Sacred Heart Council was granted a charter by the National Organization on 7/2/07.
Even before the council received its official charter, the local members of the Knights of Columbus were involved in projects that benefited the Sacred Heart parish and the wider community.
