Mission Statement of Sacred Heart Religious Education

The Sacred Heart Religious Education program recognizes parents are the first teachers of their children.  The mission of religious education at Sacred Heart is to supplement the teachings of the Church through regular class instruction consisting of at least 30 hours of religious education usually coinciding with the school year, beginning in the fall and ending about the first week in May.

Weekly Mass attendance is expected as well as reception of all the sacraments that the youth are prepared to receive.

Regular religious education attendance is expected, especially for those who will be receiving the sacrament of Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation.  During these important years every absence should be discussed with their teacher and every student must complete all requirements pertaining to the sacrament received.

Sacramental preparation for Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation are parish wide consisting of public, home-schooled, and private school students in understanding we are “one body, and one Church.”

We welcome all and encourage parishioners to guide all who are involved in learning more about the Catholic faith.  We welcome everyone to Sacred Heart Church.
